Amber Allen-Latham, Camp Director, B.A., B.S.

Amber began working in special needs camping at the age of 16, and immediately became passionate about the therapeutic process of helping people achieve their goals in an outdoor setting. She pursued that passion, earning degrees in Developmental Psychology and Special Education at Keene State College in New Hampshire.

She worked with developmentally disabled people as a case manager, a residential program teacher, a public school advocate for an autistic boy and an employment specialist before her passion for camping brought her to Camp Huntington. She loves watching the smiles on the campers' faces as they gain confidence and learn independence when going down the zip-line, singing in the talent show or making a new friend.
